January 5, 2026Subtle Results, Strong Values: Teresa Tan’s Journey

Jessica Chipman • December 22, 2025
Teresa is the proud founder of Tan&Co, a London-based clinic known for its skin-first philosophy, regenerative treatments, and inclusive approach to aesthetics.
With a career spanning 15 years in nursing and six years in medical aesthetics, Teresa brings a rare blend of clinical depth, ethical practice, and artistry to everything she does.
From Harley Street to Tan&Co
Teresa began her aesthetics journey in 2018, training and working alongside leading clinicians on Harley Street and across London.
In 2019, she launched her own clinic – but like many practitioners, her plans were disrupted by the pandemic.
During this time, Teresa returned to supporting the NHS, before officially relaunching Tan&Co in 2024.
Today, she runs the clinic as a solo practitioner, supported by an administrator who assists with day-to-day operations.
The Route into Aesthetics
What drew Teresa into aesthetics wasn’t trends or transformations – it was the power of subtle, meaningful change.
She was inspired by respected clinicians including Dr Ewoma Ukeleghe, Dr Zack Ally, and Dr Robert Ali, and by her own lived experience with severe acne and hyperpigmentation.
This personal journey led her to pursue advanced education, including a PGDip in Dermatology and Cosmetic Dermatology and her current Level 7 PGDip with Interface Aesthetics.
Equally important to Teresa is the psychological side of aesthetics. Having studied Psychology and worked closely with patients affected by Body Dysmorphic Disorder, she is deeply committed to ethical, responsible practice – prioritising education, consent, and realistic outcomes.
Balancing NHS Work and Private Practice
Alongside Tan&Co, Teresa works part-time as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in a London GP surgery, managing minor illness, injuries, and long-term conditions.
This dual role allows her to bring a strong medical foundation into her aesthetic practice, while enjoying the creativity and balance that aesthetics offers.
Building a Clinic from the Ground Up
One of Teresa’s biggest lessons in business came early on: don’t overstock.
“I underestimated the upfront investment,”
She explains.
“I bought too much too soon, and some products expired before I had a steady client base.”
Like many clinic owners, she also faced challenges around marketing, building trust, and finding the right software – a process that took time, testing, and refinement.
What Makes Tan&Co Different
Tan&Co specialises in advanced, minimally invasive regenerative treatments, with a particular focus on skin of colour and overall skin health.
Grounded in cosmetic dermatology and evidence-based medicine, the clinic is known for its personalised approach and natural-looking results.
This commitment has been recognised through awards and features, including:
- GHP Award: Best Skin Rejuvenation Clinic
- Tatler Address Book
- Hello! Magazine
- Black Skin Directory
- Spell Magazine
Signature Treatments
While Tan&Co offers a wide range of treatments, it’s best known for:
- Bespoke facials
- Chemical peels
- Microneedling with exosomes
- Polynucleotides
Above all, Teresa champions daily skincare education – because long-term results start at home.
Finding the Right Software with ANS
Before discovering Aesthetic Nurse Software, Teresa struggled with platforms that were clunky, inflexible, and poorly integrated.
“Other systems created more problems than they solved,”
She says.
ANS quickly became an essential part of her clinic – acting, in Teresa’s words, like a virtual assistant.
How ANS Supports Tan&Co
From booking management to clinical pathways, ANS streamlines Teresa’s workflow so she can focus on her clients.
Her most-used features include:
- The calendar, which makes managing availability, holidays, and appointments effortless
- Customisable consent and medical history forms
- The clinical pathway, ensuring nothing is missed – from consultations and photos to treatment notes and invoices
Since switching to ANS, Teresa has seen a fourfold increase in bookings, with clients praising the intuitive booking system, automated aftercare, and seamless review integration.
To Other Practitioners Considering ANS?..
Teresa’s advice is simple:
“Give it a go and see if it fits your workflow. It’s one of the most intuitive and feature-rich platforms I’ve used – and it’s made a real difference to how I run my clinic.”
