For Dr Nadia Uraiqat, aesthetics is more than a profession – it’s an opportunity to help people in a completely different way. Alongside her work as an NHS doctor, Nadia has built her own clinic where clinical expertise meets confidence-led care, creating a space focused on trust, professionalism, and natural results.
Balancing Medicine and Aesthetics
Nadia’s journey into aesthetics is shaped by a distinctive clinical background.
Alongside running her own clinic as a solo practitioner, Nadia also works part-time within another clinic while continuing her role within the NHS as a doctor.
Balancing multiple roles requires careful time management, but it’s a model that allows her to bring a strong medical foundation into her aesthetic practice.

A Different Way to Help People
For Nadia, aesthetics offered an opportunity to support patients in a completely different way.
Her day-to-day medical work focuses on breast cancer care, making aesthetics a welcome contrast.
“My day job is probably the complete opposite of the aesthetic field,”
She explains.
“I wanted to do something different and be able to help people in another way.”
What drew her to aesthetics was the ability to make a positive impact outside of acute clinical settings.
“It’s not about life-and-death situations – it’s about helping people feel good, look good, and giving them confidence.”
That opportunity to improve confidence and wellbeing is what continues to drive her work today.
The Challenge of Starting a Clinic
Transitioning from a purely medical background into business ownership came with its own challenges.
“The biggest challenge was starting the business side of things,”
Nadia says.
Like many practitioners entering aesthetics from healthcare, she found the operational and marketing side of clinic ownership to be a steep learning curve.
“When you come from a medical background, you’re used to seeing patients and delivering care. You’re not necessarily taught how to promote yourself or attract patients.”
Learning to balance clinical excellence with the realities of building and growing a business has been one of the biggest milestones in her journey.

Building a Clinic on Trust
Nadia believes one of the things that makes her clinic unique is the reassurance clients feel knowing they’re being treated by a doctor.
In today’s fast-growing aesthetics landscape, that medical expertise provides confidence and trust for patients seeking safe, professional care.
Her approach is centred on delivering treatments with the same level of professionalism and patient focus she brings to her medical practice.

A Thoughtful Approach to Aesthetics
Nadia’s clinical background shapes every aspect of how she approaches aesthetics.
For her, treatment is never just about the end result – it’s about ensuring clients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their journey.
This combination of medical precision and patient-centred care allows her to create results that feel natural and considered.
Looking Ahead
As Nadia continues to balance her NHS role with growing her own clinic, her story reflects a path many medical professionals are beginning to explore.
Her journey highlights the value of bringing strong clinical foundations into aesthetics, while embracing the creativity and confidence-building side of the industry.
For Nadia, aesthetics is about more than treatments – it’s about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives in a new and rewarding way.
