Experience, Integrity, and Excellence in Aesthetic Nursing
With more than 25 years in plastic and cosmetic surgery and 14 years running her own clinics, Jen Vittanuova brings an exceptional depth of experience to aesthetic practice.
Having worked across major private providers and the NHS, including specialist roles in head and neck, breast, and bowel surgery, as well as general practice, her background is both broad and highly specialised.
“I’ve worked for all the big private companies.”
Jen explains…
“And in the NHS I worked in head and neck surgery, breast and bowel surgery, and I was an ANP in general practice.”
Today, she runs an independent clinic built on trust, consistency, and clinical excellence.

A Truly Personal Practice
Jen works entirely on her own – something that is central to her philosophy of care.
“Just me. No receptionists, no other injectors. If you book in, you get me,”
She says.
“I do have external business helpers, but in clinic it’s all me.”
For her patients, this means continuity, familiarity, and confidence in knowing exactly who is responsible for their treatment at every stage.
Inspired by Medicine and Artistry
Jen’s journey into aesthetics was driven by her love of both science and creativity.
“I loved the mix of medical skill and artistry,
“I’ve always been fascinated by how a small change can make someone feel completely different about themselves.”
Her experience working within large organisations also shaped her approach to patient care.
“Their phones went off at 5pm on a Friday and back on at 9am Monday. That never sat right with me,”
She says.
“I wanted my patients to have proper, joined-up care – the kind that feels holistic, not ‘we’ll get back to you next week’.”
This commitment to continuity remains at the heart of her clinic today.
“Extra Full-Time” Dedication
Jen balances a demanding clinical schedule with wider professional responsibilities.
“I do three 12-hour days in clinic, plus my work as an expert witness and educator,”
She says.
“So I’d say I’m ‘extra full-time!’”
Her varied workload reflects both her expertise and her commitment to maintaining high standards within the industry.
The Reality of Running Your Own Clinic
Like many independent practitioners, Jen quickly learned that owning a business involves far more than clinical skill.
“You’re not just the clinician, you’re also the cleaner, the accountant, the IT helpdesk, and the marketing department.”
She adds
“Some days I’m injecting in the morning and speaking to solicitors about cases in the afternoon. I feel like I network a lot, but I never seem to have enough time to see people.”
Despite the challenges, she values the autonomy and authenticity that come with running her own practice.
A Clinic Built on Honesty
What makes Jen’s clinic stand out is its emphasis on integrity and long-term care.
“It’s personal,”
She explains.
“Every single patient sees me, every single time.”
She is clear about her boundaries and values.
“I don’t oversell, I don’t chase trends, and I’ll happily say ‘no’ if something isn’t right,
“My patients know they’ll get honesty and a proper plan, not a quick fix.”
This transparent approach has helped her build lasting relationships with her clients.

Known for Skin and Subtle Results
Jen is particularly recognised for her expertise in skin health and rejuvenation.
“Skin is my thing, from iS Clinical facials to advanced laser rejuvenation treatments.”
She is also known for her natural approach to injectables.
“I focus on well-judged work with botulinum toxin, filler, laser, and collagen boosters. It’s about enhancing, not changing.”
The Most Meaningful Moments
For Jen, the emotional impact of her work is what makes it truly rewarding.
“That moment when a patient looks in the mirror and you see the shift – they stand taller, smile differently.”
She adds,
“It’s not about changing who they are. It’s about helping them see themselves the way they want to.”
From Chaos to Clarity
Before adopting Aesthetic Nurse Software, Jen’s record-keeping system was far from streamlined.
“I started out with a ridiculous mix of paper notes, printed photographs, random spreadsheets, and files saved ‘somewhere’ on my MacBook.”
She laughs.
“Not exactly ideal for compliance… or my blood pressure.”
A More Organised Working Day
Switching to ANS transformed her workflow.
“It’s all in one place now,
“Forms, notes, prescriptions – I can actually find things without rifling through a cupboard like I’m looking for the Christmas decorations.”
This centralised system has improved both efficiency and confidence.
Favourite Features
Jen relies heavily on ANS’s digital tools to maintain high standards of care.
“I love the digital consent forms, notes, and treatment map,”
She explains.
“They keep me compliant and organised, and mean I’m never standing there thinking, ‘Where on earth did I put that?’”
But one feature stands out.
“My absolute favourite is Snippets! I tell everyone this when I’m presenting at conferences!”
ANS’s Snippets feature speeds up note taking with pre-made templates for commonly used phrases, like “Risks and benefits discussed.” They save time at every appointment.
Improving the Patient Journey
For Jen, ANS plays a vital role in creating a seamless client experience.
“It makes everything smooth. Patients don’t have to fill out the same forms over and over, and it all feels professional and joined up from the minute they book in.”
Jen’s Advice to Other Practitioners
When asked what she would say to others considering ANS, her response is direct.
“Get it!”
She says.
“It will save you hours, reduce your admin stress, and let you spend more time doing what you actually love – treating patients, not wrestling with paperwork.”
