Catherine Partington on Experience, Ethics, and Aesthetic Care
With almost 10 years in aesthetics and 34 years in NHS paediatric intensive care, Catherine brings exceptional clinical experience to her work.
A Career Shift Rooted in Experience
After years in a demanding role as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, she began looking for a more sustainable long-term career.
What started as supporting a colleague with prescribing soon sparked a genuine interest in aesthetics – and before long, Catherine was building her own practice.
A Solo Practitioner with a Loyal Patient Base
Based in Bolton, Catherine now works as a solo aesthetic nurse practitioner and has recently moved into aesthetics full time.
She has around 480 patients registered, with a strong mix of regular clients and one-off treatments.
While Botox remains popular, her focus has increasingly shifted towards skin rejuvenation and guiding patients through personalised aesthetic journeys, often starting with skin barrier repair using Obagi Medical.
A Purpose-Built Clinic Designed for Privacy
Catherine runs her clinic from a purpose-built treatment space in her back garden, offering complete privacy in a quiet cul-de-sac setting.
After outgrowing a room inside her home, she chose to invest in a dedicated clinic rather than renting external premises. The result is a professional, discreet environment with minimal overheads – allowing her to focus entirely on patient care.
Making a Meaningful Difference
The most rewarding part of Catherine’s work is the impact it has on her patients’ confidence and wellbeing.
“Something that feels quite simple to me can make a huge difference to someone else’s life,”
she explains.
This patient-first mindset underpins every consultation and treatment she delivers.
Why Catherine Uses Aesthetic Nurse Software
Catherine moved to Aesthetic Nurse Software after becoming frustrated with manual appointment booking and fragmented communication.
With ANS, her patients can book online and receive automated consent forms, aftercare information, follow-up messages, review requests, and treatment reminders.
Sending consent forms in advance allows patients to read them properly in their own time, improving understanding and informed consent.
For Catherine, ANS creates a seamless, professional patient journey while significantly reducing admin.
To Those Considering ANS, Catherine Says…
“Patient safety, clinical governance and professional accountability are central to my practice, and Aesthetic Nurse Software supports all of these exceptionally well.
“It provides a structured, nurse-led platform that reflects real-world aesthetic practice rather than a generic system. I would recommend it to any practitioner who wants to practise confidently, safely and professionally.”
